Telemedicine application for OCMCA EMS and hospitals
This webpage provides information and resources to OCMCA EMS and hospital providers regarding how to use the e-Bridge application.
The e-Bridge application is used to facilitate the following features through video and audio, and maintain all applicable HIPAA compliance measures:
- Pre-arrival notifications for all patients.
- Online medical direction at the request of EMS.
- Community paramedicine telemedicine components.

The evolution of EMS communications – An e-Bridge Application In-Service This video has been produced in collaboration between the Oakland County Medical Control Authority (OCMCA) for all EMS providers using e-Bridge in Southeast Michigan. The e-Bridge application is used to facilitate pre-arrival notifications for all EMS patients, online medical direction at the request of EMS, as well as support OCMCA community paramedicine telemedicine components through video and audio and maintain all applicable HIPAA compliance measures.
