OCMCA Stroke Systems of Care Special Study

Title: OCMCA Stroke Systems of Care Special Study in-service for LSAs and Hospitals
Description: This video provides all information to EMS agencies and hospitals regarding how to join the Oakland County Medical Control Authority Stroke Systems of Care Special Study. During this video we provide an overview of the special study. Then we go over the required and recommended EMS and hospital training to participate in the study. After that, show you how to set up an EMS agency's EMS ePCR platform to participate in the study. We finish off with a talk about the study data collection and dissemination processes. The FAST-ED stroke severity scale is currently being utilized by participating EMS providers in the OCMCA Stroke Study.  Each time a participating study EMS providers identifies a patient with a differential diagnosis of stroke, they complete the form and provide a copy to the receiving ED, upon arrival:
